A Dazzling Trip To Cannes

A Dazzling Trip To Cannes

The French Riviera always has our hearts here at Monoo. Riddled with gorgeous sandy beaches, dainty upmarket boutiques, grand stunning palatial hotels and hosts of the iconic ongoing Cannes Film Festival, Cannes is the ultimate holiday destination! With the Film Festival coming to an end soon, it’s the perfect time to sum up the best places to go in Cannes and the best Monoo outfit for the occasion!

When it comes to places to stay, there is no shortage of impressive and opulent hotels in Cannes. In fact there are so many great options, it’s often confusing and daunting to find the perfect place, but threat not we have you covered! This wouldn’t be a Cannes post without mentioning the iconic Hotel Martinez by Hyatt Regency located on the infamous Croisette. This five star hotel is the pinnacle of luxury and has hosted some of the most notorious A list celebrities on their Cannes stay. Not only does the hotel have a phenomenal atmosphere, but the grounds are so stunning they’re asking for a stream of Instagram pictures (in an iconic Monoo kaftan of course). Similar to the luxury exemplified by Hotel Martinez, Hotel Barrière Le Majestic also exudes a sumptuous and lavish energy that’s hard to resist. Conveniently located by the Palais de Festival (where the iconic Cannes Film Festival is held annually) the stunning building hosts the best amenities for a long stay. Their private beach is the perfect opportunity to have that much desired moment of sun and tranquility all with a little more privacy and some breathing room! We wouldn’t be able to name a better location for our Endless Summer collection if we tried! Bali and Tanzania dazzle underneath the French heat giving you that much needed extra layer. Not to mention the chiffon is perfect for showing of your bikini underneath, pair the Kaftan with a forest green bikini and some strappy heels for the ultimate J-Lo look!

Aside from a multitude of gorgeous hotels to stay in, Cannes has no shortage of delectable restaurants and eateries. For a traditional French bistro style meal and brasserie experience we could never pass up La Brouette de Grand Mère! This traditional Provençal style restaurant serves up the best French delicacies all from an intimate Parisian setting fixed with dim lighting, ample wine and a beautiful burgundy interior. When in Cannes, we always try to stop by and if you get a chance to visit, don’t forget to try the duck! If you’re looking for something a little less French, La Môme might be your choice. This stunning Mediterranean restaurant is our absolute favourite place to go when in search of an electric atmosphere coupled with delicious food, their sketch like interiors give a phenomenal Art Deco vibe and are the best place to spend an evening with good company, good drinks and a good time. Layer our Lima kimono with a chic black dress and a coloured clutch and some eye grabbing earrings for the quintessential effortless dinner time outfit.

For a memorable lunch with a view, you cannot miss La Petit Maison. With a panoramic scope from Cap d’Antibes to the Lérins islands, La Petit Maison hosts the most gorgeous contemporary space with phenomenal energy and even better food. The Mediterranean inspired location offers you a true taste of peace as they serve delectable refined classics. If you’re lucky enough to grab a table outside, bring your sunglasses, your Monoo Kimono and some SPF as you tan and dine in style. Pair El Salvador with some light denim shorts and a matching crop top for the ideal lunch time look that makes you simultaneously stand out and compliment the lavish greenery of the terrace.

Part of the illustrious charm of Cannes, is all the phenomenal activities you can partake in aside from lounging by a beach or a pool (although, this will always be our all time favourite). We cannot talk about Cannes without mentioning the Film Festival, if you happen to visit during the festivities make sure to visit the Palais de Festival et des Congress and Le Chemin des Étoile (walk of fame) dotted with celebrity hand prints and iconic film moments. Located just by the croisette it’s the perfect time to get some sun and some scenes all on the same street. If you’re after a little more fun on your holiday, then the iconic Nikki beach has a location in Cannes that’s to die for! As the pioneers of the luxury beach club concept, their commitment to great music, great vibes and a great crowd all in the sensational setting of Cannes is unparalleled. A trip to Nikki beach is incomplete without your trustee Monoo kimono effortlessly draping over your shoulders. Tasmania, Puerto Rico and Zanzibar all make for stunning pops of colour that will keep you cool and stylish as you take in the good vibes and good sun. Layer the bright kimono over an equally bright bikini and heels to steal the show, or a neutral swimsuit to compliment the kimono and dazzle the party.

Although these are just a few of our most memorable places to stay, eat at and go to in Cannes, wherever you end up, we know you’ll enjoy your time and stay. Riddled with the best of the best of the French Riviera, Cannes is a magical city fit for royalty and will forever remain a favourite destination of ours to visit.
